Ho Ho HAF

This week we’d love to tell you about our Christmas HAF project!

The preparation for this year’s Christmas HAF started in November when we spent time on our PIE Primary Community Champions Programme, packing and preparing bags to give to our local families. You can read more about that here. We knew that this year’s offer would involve two days of in-person activities, and the take -home activities in their bags.

· On 3rd January we had our first day at Marple Cinema, watching Wonder. It was a brilliant film followed by lunch provided by our friends at Mr Chips.

· 4th January was our trip to Stockport County FC. We got the bus into Stockport and after a short walk we met Matt Bailey, the Community Partnerships Manager at the County Ground. We had a tour of the ground and took part in a few activities, including Summer & Ruby winning a prize for their amazing efforts with the wordsearch competition!

Gemma, our Community Lead, had this to say: It’s great to be back with our HAF group for a Christmas Project after last year’s uncertainty due to Covid. We had a great couple of days, and we look forward to continuing our link with Stockport County Community Foundation. It was also so good to see our Community Champion social action coming to life and reaching the families in our community.

Watch this space for more HAF projects this year, our next instalment will be February!
