Last week, we had the joy of returning to All Saints Primary School in Marple for our annual Christmas bag packing!
This marks our third year partnering with All Saints on this heart-warming project, funded by Stockport Council and the Household Support Grant. Together, the amazing staff and enthusiastic children provided 40 food bags to support local families in need, as well as preparing some Movie Night bags ready for HAF provision this month. We couldn’t be prouder of the dedication shown by Mrs. Noble, Mrs. Morton, and all the wonderful students. We were lucky enough to be joined by Emily from Willmott Dixon as well as Owen and Karen from CDL who helped the students ( not that they needed it) with the packing!
We believe it’s essential to instil the values of volunteering and community support in children from a young age. During our session they saw that in action, not only did they volunteer their own time after school, but they saw other members of the community giving up their time too. It was such a great atmosphere in the room, and the children really gave their all to this mini-project. We were done in record time!
Earlier this Christmas Season, Gemma did some amazing fundraising online to provide gifts for families in Marple. She made 27 bags of gifts and distributed them in the Marple area! What an amazing achievement, and to all those who donated: Huge thank you to the parents of Rose Hill Junior Football Club under 12’s, the parents of Marple Athletic under 9’s, the parents of All Saints Primary School, @coachedbyliam and clients, @francisdiet , @sophwithlove , Marple Athletic Football Club for all the treats, and finally a special thank you for Kerry and Antony Hughes who go above and beyond.
All in all, some great community input from Gemma & the team this month, and still more to come! Maybe she needs a big red suit next year...
